Herman Mannings III
Founder & Principle
Born in Birmingham, AL, Herman Mannings III was instilled with a great sense of social responsibility from a young age. His evolution as a social leader grew from his involvement in numerous community and academic programs offered throughout his hometown. Today, Herman still strives to stay involved with and aid others throughout his community.
Before founding Leftover Energy LLC, Herman began a career in the financial services industry as a registered securities representative. Gradually, he focused his skill sets in finance, compliance, and supervision to become a registered principal and launch a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program with one of his former firms.
Herman continues to participate in numerous CSR/Sustainability initiatives throughout Atlanta in addition to his work on various volunteer projects with organizations including the Empty Stocking Fund Inc., the Buckhead Heritage Society, Adopt-A-Highway, and the City of Atlanta City Council - District 1 EcoDepot.
He currently serves as a board member for the High Aspirations Foundation Inc. and as Committee Chairman for Pack 70 of The Boy Scouts of America. Herman is a member of The World Affairs Council of Atlanta, an alumnus of Leadership Buckhead, an alumnus of The United Way of Greater Atlanta VIP Program, and a member of the TAU Chapter of Omega Psi Phi.
Herman holds a B.A. in Psychology from Morehouse College and is currently an International MBA student studying Corporate Social Responsibility at Southern New Hampshire University.
